The Jet JTAS-10 Xacta saw is delivered on a pallet and weighs about 468 lbs.  in my case the cabinet and fence added another 6 boxes to the shipment.  I purchased the saw at Timberline Tools and got a great deal.

See how to install the Delta Removable Splitter here.

No write up yet, just pictures.

Ok, here it is almost complete.  I still  have to put the cabinet door on.  You'll notice the cabinet is turned facing forward as opposed to how it is designed to be installed, which is facing the right end....obviously that orientation wouldn't do me any good.

Also you notice that I didn't install the stock Xacta fence, I installed my Incra.  If you look at the above picture you see the Incra rails are shorter than in this pic.  A fellow WoodNetter gave me his extra set of 92" rails so my saw has a 50" capacity now.

The larger rails posed a problem with the Dust Be Gone blade guard....it now wasn't long enough.  My setup is such that for 99% of my operations I wont need the full capacity of the rails so I mounted the Dust Be Gone from the wall and I can get about40" of fence like this.

In order to regain a little space and as an excuse for another Festool MFT I decided to retire the old out feed table and use a second MFT for this purpose.  While providing less table surface the MFT provides a better work/assembly surface and I can take advantage of the MFT's superior clamping ability if needed.  It also allows me to have two MFT's for those occasions where I need to bring a large work surface to the job site.

I had to make leg extenders in order to raise and level the table to the correct height.
