Welcome....
I've realized that I need to keep a log of exactly what I do, so that if something looks different with the Tank, I can refer to it-to see if it could have been caused by something I've done. I've been keeping a runniny history on my web page, but that's not current enough. I need something which is easy to use and readily available. I decided to write a Log keeper, I've titled ReefNotes, in JAVA so that it may be used on platforms other than WIndows (I use OS/2)

Here's some pics of how it's coming along"

reefnotes1.jpg - View of the main entry screen. You can enter or leave blank any of the test areas.
reefnotes2.jpg - View of the REPORTS LOG screen. The HTML screen, not written yet, will produce an html report of the log which can be placed on the web.
reefnotes3.jpg - If you select a log entry which has "Yes" in the Remarks column, a window will pop up displaying the remarks
reefnotes5.jpg- The HTML page...lots of room here for additions but for now it just allows you to enter a title for the output page, and whether you want the last 15 or 30 records to be displayed.
reefnotes4.jpg - Here's what the HTML page looks like.

You can Download your free copy of ReefNotes here.

If you have Java 1.1x and dont know if you have SWING, you can download this copy of reefnotes1_sw and get the SWING files also.

If you have Java 2, you are all set.

INSTALLATION

ReefNotes requires any platform which runs a minimum of JAVA 1.1.X and SWING. Currently the archive just contains the main program and a jar file. If there is actually interest for this program I can package up a complete installation, including JAVA for the W95/98 platform.
